Gala Dinner at Manuc’s Inn

The EENVIRO 2026 Gala Dinner will take place at Manuc’s Inn (Hanul lui Manuc), one of Bucharest’s most iconic historic landmarks and a place that has been part of the city’s story for more than two centuries.

A place filled with history
Built beginning in 1806 by Manuc Bey, a prominent merchant and diplomat of the time, Manuc’s Inn soon became an important meeting point for merchants, travellers, diplomats and members of the Romanian elite. Over the years, the Inn witnessed significant moments in Romanian and European history, including the diplomatic negotiations associated with the Treaty of Bucharest of 1812, which ended the Russo-Turkish War. Its distinctive architecture and remarkable inner courtyard preserve the atmosphere of the old Bucharest inns while remaining one of the city’s most vibrant meeting places today.

In the heart of historic Bucharest
Manuc’s Inn is located at 62 Franceză Street, at the entrance to Bucharest’s Old Town and only a short walk from many of the city centre’s major landmarks. Situated next to the Old Princely Court and close to Piața Unirii, the venue offers our guests the opportunity to experience one of the most atmospheric areas of Bucharest, surrounded by historic streets, restaurants, cafés and some of the city’s best-known architectural landmarks.

An evening to meet, talk and enjoy Bucharest
Beyond its historical significance, Manuc’s Inn remains a lively social and cultural meeting place. Its traditional courtyard, wooden galleries and historic interiors provide a distinctive setting for an evening together after the conference sessions. The EENVIRO 2026 Gala Dinner will offer participants an opportunity to enjoy Romanian cuisine and hospitality, continue discussions in a relaxed atmosphere, meet colleagues and friends, and experience a little of the character of old Bucharest.

We look forward to welcoming you to an evening where science, conversation, history and Romanian hospitality come together in one of Bucharest’s most memorable venues.
